Our Pandemic Proof Progress

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a month since we’ve launched our Pandemic Proof Program. We have worked tirelessly to make sure our Transitions family members have the proper support and guidance as we continue to operate in the COVID-19 pandemic.

With over 20 years of experience, and through 229 days and counting of COVID-19 survival adaptation, Transitions has identified the 6 critical areas for operating a dental practice during a pandemic as followed:

  • Lead team and change
  • Optimize clinical production
  • Re-activate patient confidence
  • Increase case acceptance
  • Collect what you produce
  • Maximize profitability

Is Your Practice Pandemic-Proof?

There are many components that make up a Pandemic Proof practice. As stated by our Chief Visionary Officer, Lisa Philp in Oral Health: “all team members [should] be provided with The New Normal: Practice Playbook E-Book, trained on the COVID-19 Cycle of Care and sign off on their learnings.”

The new normal of dentistry doesn’t have to be detrimental to your practice if handled with the proper leadership, strategies and tactics. If the practice owner and team feel confident about the current operations, they can transfer the health and safety assurance to the patients. The patients will then drive the production, collections and case acceptance in your rebuild process.

Dentistry Will Prevail If It Keeps Pivoting

In Lisa’s recent Oral Health article, “re-building requires the leader to pivot in order to guide and prepare the team with a practice COVID playbook that standardizes changes.”

Re-building and pivoting is an on-going task as the future of the pandemic is still unknown. Continued commitment to change and improvement will ensure our success moving forward.

Find The Positive And Stay Grateful

Maintaining a positive frame of mind in our day to day lives has never been more important than it is right now. To be successful in dentistry during a pandemic, you need to have hope. Oral Health’s recent article outlines four lessons we can all take from the pandemic, from a generation Z’s perspective. The piece was written by Hunter Soll, daughter of co-chairman of the editorial board of Oral Health, Dr. Jordan Soll.⁣
